The Angel Whispers Baby Loss Support Program was founded in 2002 by three moms in the Edmonton area who had experienced the loss of their babies; one shortly after birth, one through miscarriage, and one through stillbirth. The program was created based on the fundamental belief that a healthy way to cope with such a devastating loss is to seek others who understand in a compassionate & supportive environment and to allow oneself to experience the thoughts, feelings & emotions that accompany grief.
Angel Whispers is a non-denominational and inclusive support program for parents devastated by the loss of a baby through miscarriage, blighted ovum, molar or ectopic pregnancy, stillbirth or neonatal death up to one year of age. Families grieve for the baby they have lost in addition to the hopes, plans & dreams for the future that included that baby. Families are often denied the opportunity to fully grieve their loss because others don’t understand the magnitude of their profound and unique loss, leaving these families to often grieve in silence. Angel Whispers exists to ensure no family has to suffer in silence.
The Angel Whispers Baby Loss Support Program receives no government funding. We rely on individual donations & fundraisers to sustain our services.
